About Dr. Robert Horowitz

Dr. Robert Horowitz is a practicing periodontist in Scarsdale, New York. For more than 25 years, he has been and continues to be a leading researcher for numerous international companies in materials and methods used in tooth implantation, bone and gingival restoration and regeneration. Techniques and technologies included in the research projects include bioactive bone grafts, barriers, growth factors and enhancers and modifications and the related uses of digital technologies for communication, analysis, planning, surgery, orthodontics, restoration and more

He is the author of dozens of professional journal articles and book chapters, inventor and patent holder. Dr. Horowitz lectures, teaches hands-on courses, and chairs conference sessions across the US and internationally. He is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology, Quintessence, Compendium, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, and other high impact peer-reviewed journals in the US, and around the world. Dr. Horowitz graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery of NY, completed a Periodontal Residency at the Manhattan VA Hospital and an implant dentistry fellowship at NYU College of Dentistry.


Dr. Horowitz has run hands-on surgical courses from Cape Town to Kathmandu, and most recently chaired scientific sessions at the Society for Biomaterials 2023 Annual Meeting & Exposition.
